“A moment’s insight is sometimes worth
a life time of experiences.”
Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
“Would it be okay with you if your life were a bit more prosperous?
Maybe a lot more prosperous.”
So the questions is: “What does “true prosperity” mean to you?”
“Can you except Emerson’s dictum that you’re born to be rich or inevitably to grow rich by the use of your faculties. If not, perhaps you are hung up on
the age-old confusion of godliness with poverty. Lack and limitation
of any kind are aberrations in an opulent universe. Any person
who is experiencing lack is in some way living in
opposition to the universal flow.”
It has been commonly assumed that in times of economic reverses, we are all victims of the strange malaise about which there is little that can be done other than to wait and see. However, the study of the laws of spiritual economics reveals that there is much we can do, personally for ourselves, and in concert for our country and our world.”
To be truly prosperous you want to declare your independence from the belief that your personal welfare is tied to the economics of the world “out there.”
The common idea is that I am prosperous when I have a large amount of money. However, wouldn’t you agree that just because you have a large bank account doesn’t mean you are prosperous, does it?
The words prosper and prosperity are derived from the Latin word “prosperus” meaning “fortunate.”
To prosper is to thrive, flourish, and be successful; to be affluent in a continuous flow of resources and supportive events and relationships which assure our highest good.
Ancient wisdom says: “We learn not from experience but from our capacity to
experience prosperity.” But what happens if we never develop the capacity to experience prosperity?
It is not that prosperity events do not happen in our lives, it is that we have not developed the capacity to absorb the prosperity experiences that are occurring.
I may tell you are prosperous or you may read in Spiritual Economics that you are
prosperous, and you may still be experiencing lack and poverty.
So the challenge and opportunity is to develop and expand our capacity; our consciousness of prosperity.
As we believe that we live life from “within out” we focus on who you’ve come “Here to be, BEINGNESS” rather than on What you Have or What you Do.
♦ Prosperity is a way of living and thinking and
not just money or things.
♦ Poverty is a way of living and thinking and
is not just a lack of money or things.
One who keeps conscious that the Divine flow is ever centered within him/her has faith that limitless substance will find expression through him/her in the form of:
♦ Creative ideas, ♦ Ingenuity,
♦ The will to work, ♦ The security of work opportunities,
♦ Resources, ♦ Contacts and relationships,
It could be said that when you realize what your relationship is to the dynamic universe, you are forever in the field where you can drill for oil and be in a gusher every time.
Ancient wisdom, biblical teachings, wise masters and teachers, have all said and taught this concept, using different words for centuries. Now Quantum Physics, since about the 1920’s, is saying and proving these concepts.
“There is an invisible energy force or
field of infinite possibilities.”
“Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifesting in the laws of the universe – a spirit vastly superior to that of man.”
What does “substance” mean? What is your expanded awareness of Substance?
This field of energy and our vibrational universe has been referred to as “Substance” It comes from the Latin word “substare” which means “stand under.” There is a substance standing under everything. It is not the component parts that make up the thing, but the non-material essence.
We will also want to establish ourselves in the unassailable conviction that the freefall of substance can only be dammed up from within and that no one can keep your good from you but you. As you become conscious of the laws of spiritual economics, you can affect some really dynamic life changes “from indigence to affluence.”
What does it mean to you if I say:
“There is NO limitation but there may be a consciousness of limitation.”
Despite the appearance of great lack there is, in any area and in human life, there is an infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceeds.” The one thing that God can’t create is “LACK.”
You can take charge of your own life and do certain things of your own choosing which would determine the influence of outer conditions and creatures upon your life.
It is an important moment in your life when you discover for yourself the great truths that things may happen around you, and things may happen to you. The only things that really count are the things that happen in you.
“You live in a world of your consciousness, which is the sum total of the
thoughts of your mind and as you can control what goes on in your mind you have increased influence over your outer world.”
You are in your experience of life, relationships, careers, and lifestyle and even in financial conditions because of what you are in consciousness.
If you’re willing to accept full responsibility for your life, then even as your level of consciousness has put you where you are today – or at least contributed to it – so by a change of consciousness, you can change the experiences of your life.
You can and must do it for yourself.
So let’s close with a statement we referenced earlier:
“Can you except Emerson’s dictum that you’re born to be rich or inevitably to grow rich by the use of your faculties. If not, perhaps you are hung up on the age-old confusion of godliness with poverty. Lack and limitation of any kind are
aberrations in an opulent universe. Any person who is experiencing lack is in some way living in opposition to the universal flow.”
